Mariah McAnally, LSW

I received my Masters Degree in Social Work and my Bachelor’s Degree both at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I was born and raised in Mahomet and feel very connected to the schools and community. My experience in the mental health field has stemmed from involvement with crisis care, and working with children and adolescents. I love working with individuals between the ages of 5 through early adulthood. I have passion and dedication to helping individuals who suffer from eating disorders, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and life transitions.
I want to provide a safe and comforting place where individuals can come and talk without fear. Feelings and strong emotions are a part of life and I want my clients to feel understood. It is important not to feel alone when struggling with feelings, thoughts and emotions. I use an integrative combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma informed care and animal assisted therapy. I believe in meeting the client where they are at and helping them build a toolbox of skills and coping mechanisms that will help them reach their goals.
